WELCOME
The Catholic Church shares the delight of couples who announce their intention to marry and we warmly congratulate them. We also share the couples’ conviction that marriage in the 21st century is not a commitment to be undertaken lightly.
We, therefore, aim to give every couple marrying in the church some knowledge and skills that will help make their marriage the best possible.
This site contains resources for parishes, existing network members and resources for both marriage preparation and marriage renewal. Please use the contact us page if you would like any additional information.
WHO ARE WE?
The Catholic Network of Marriage Educators is a nationwide organisation that represents the interests of the marriage educator volunteers of the six Roman Catholic Dioceses of New Zealand. Marriage Educators are Catholic married couples who assist our clergy to prepare couples for the Sacrament of Marriage in the Catholic Church of New Zealand. The New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference oversees and supports the work of the Catholic Network of Marriage Educators.
